Market Demand Planner (Bicycle Industry)

Location: Schweinfurt, Germany; based within commuting distance and available to work onsite at least three days per week. Occasional international travel is encouraged.

What you will do

• Analyze customer forecasts, seasonal trends, and market data to identify demand shifts and opportunities.
• Prepare and lead brand review meetings with Account Managers to understand buying behavior and upcoming developments.
• Maintain demand plans using statistical models, forecasts, and market expertise.
• Partner with Sales and Product Management on new product launches and represent demand throughout the go-to-market process.
• Develop reports and presentations for demand and brand reviews, turning complex data into actionable insights.
• Communicate demand changes and risks while representing customer and market perspectives across internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics, or a related field with strong business economics knowledge.
• At least three years of experience in Demand Planning, Sales Forecasting, S&OP, or a related function.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Fluent English is essential.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
• Must be based within commuting distance of the Schweinfurt office and work onsite at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience or a personal connection with the outdoor or bicycle industry.
• German language skills.
• Experience with SAP IBP and Power BI.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement and process enhancement.
