Sr. Supervisor, Facilities Operations, U.S. East (R6094)

Location: Washington, D.C.; primarily on-site across the assigned U.S. East region. Approximately 20% regional travel is expected, with occasional early-morning, evening, weekend, or on-call response.

What you will do

• Supervise, coach, and develop Facilities Coordinators while setting priorities, coverage plans, service expectations, and performance standards.
• Lead day-to-day facilities operations across offices, engineering spaces, manufacturing environments, laboratories, hangars, warehouses, and secure facilities.
• Coordinate maintenance, work orders, utilities, building services, landlords, vendors, contractors, and regional service escalations.
• Plan and deliver non-capital facilities projects, including space reconfigurations, moves, furniture deployments, repairs, signage, service rollouts, and workplace refreshes.
• Manage vendor performance, invoices, purchase orders, forecasts, budgets, project documentation, and cost risks.
• Implement safety, environmental, security, access-control, emergency-preparedness, compliance, reporting, and continuous-improvement practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in facilities, business, operations, engineering, construction, communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of progressive experience in facilities, workplace, office, property, project, vendor, or related operations.
• Experience leading people, projects, vendors, or cross-functional teams and supporting multiple sites or concurrent operational workstreams.
• Experience coordinating workplace improvements, moves, service rollouts, minor facilities projects, scopes, schedules, purchase orders, invoices, or budgets.
• Working knowledge of commercial building services, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, access control, and other building systems.
• Ability to work primarily on-site, travel throughout the assigned region, and provide occasional after-hours response.

Nice to have

• Direct supervision experience or experience leading a distributed site-services team.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, engineering, technology, laboratory, aviation, or other mission-critical environments.
• Experience with secure, controlled-access, or classified facilities; ICD 705 familiarity or training.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management, integrated workplace management, or building management systems.
• Relevant credentials such as CFM, FMP, SFP, OSHA 30, LEED, or project-management certification.
