What you will do

• Manage branch profitability, sales, business development, operations, transactions, servicing, and digital engagement.
• Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate branch employees, including hiring and staffing decisions.
• Identify retail and business banking needs and grow customer relationships through proactive outreach and community engagement.
• Oversee complex account servicing, error resolution, customer issues, and escalations through to completion.
• Process business banking loan requests up to $100,000 and recommend bundled products and services.
• Maintain operational, security, compliance, audit, fraud-prevention, and regulatory controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or proven leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of business banking products, services, profitability, and client relationship management.
• Fluent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish is required and will be assessed.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, internet, and email; M&T Way and Precision Leadership certification requirements apply.
• Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensing may be required within 18 months; M&T Business Banking Specialist expectations must be met within 18 months of hire.
