Senior CAD Designer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Westminster, Colorado, United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations.

Salary: $39.55–$46.74 per year.

What you will do

• Provide SolidWorks drawing support throughout the product development process.
• Create and modify product models, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Identify CAD design and drawing issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage mechanical digital data files, drawings, and hardware structures in SolidWorks PDM.
• Prepare and incorporate engineering change orders.
• Produce accurate drawings with appropriate tolerances, dimensions, and instructions.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of experience as a CAD drafter.
• Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a similar field, or four additional years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Proficiency or expert knowledge of CAD tools; SolidWorks experience is preferred.
• Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and product specifications.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Comfort with Microsoft Teams, Confluence, and Jira.

Nice to have

• Mechanical manufacturing knowledge, including CNC, 3D printing, and mechanical assembly.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards.
• Experience designing electronic packages, ground structures, mechanisms, or composite structures.
• Aerospace or automotive electronics design experience.
