TL;DR
Project Manager (Medical Affairs): Leading cross-functional medical planning and launch-readiness projects across scientific communications, congress strategy, advisory boards, medical education, and evidence generation with an accent on governance, operational execution, and stakeholder alignment. Focus on building dashboards and KPIs, optimizing Medical Affairs processes, coordinating vendors and external engagements, and managing complex launch workstreams in biopharma and life sciences.

Location: Princeton, New Jersey; must be in the office 4 days per week. Willingness to travel 30–50% of the time is required.

Base salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year, depending on U.S. geographic pay area, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

What you will do

  • Lead cross-functional Medical Affairs planning and execution for launch readiness, evidence generation, scientific platforms, and field medical enablement.
  • Define and oversee workstreams for new product launches, indication expansions, and lifecycle management.
  • Establish dashboards, KPIs, governance frameworks, risk mitigation plans, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Coordinate strategic reviews, cross-functional planning meetings, Medical Affairs business reviews, and launch management meetings.
  • Manage planning for scientific congresses, advisory boards, medical education programs, and other stakeholder engagements.
  • Manage vendors and external partners to ensure high-quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery.

Requirements

  • Must be in the Princeton, NJ office 4 days per week.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; an MS, MBA, PharmD, PhD, or PMP certification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in biopharmaceutical or life sciences organizations, including direct Medical Affairs project management.
  • Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies such as PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.
  • Ability to translate complex data into executive-ready insights and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Willingness to travel 30–50% of the time.

Nice to have

  • Experience in pre-commercial or early commercial biotech or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Advanced degree or PMP certification.
