TL;DR
CPU Pre-Si Verification Engineer (CPU verification/SystemVerilog): Verifying RTL implementations of next-generation CPU IP through simulation-based and formal verification with an accent on test planning, coverage, and failure debugging. Focus on developing UVM test benches, checkers, scoreboards, and functional coverage while driving design bugs to closure in a cross-team environment.
Location: Guadalajara, Mexico; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned site and off-site work.

What you will do
- Develop pre-silicon validation test plans and scenarios for new CPU architecture and microarchitecture features.
- Build simulation-based verification components, including bus functional models, trackers, checkers, scoreboards, and test benches.
- Perform and debug digital simulations and drive design bugs to closure.
- Develop functional coverage and achieve coverage goals.
- Collaborate with design engineers, micro-architects, and cross-site team members on test quality and verification results.
- Deliver high-quality verification output against deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with hardware description languages such as VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
- Experience developing test benches with SystemVerilog UVM or OVM.
- Programming or scripting experience with C, C++, Perl, Ruby, Python, or Unix/Linux.
- Experience in test writing or generation, checker development, coverage analysis, failure debugging, and root cause analysis.
- Advanced English and unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico are required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Architecture ISA, system architecture, or x86 assembly language.
- Experience with formal verification tools such as JasperGold, IFV, Questa Formal, or VC Formal.
- In-depth computer architecture knowledge.
