Manufacturing Engineer (Electronics Manufacturing)

Location: Manufacturing role associated with the Chicago major market and in-person production operations

Salary: $78,906–$100,000 annually, plus performance-related bonus

What you will do

• Support product development by assessing manufacturability, quality, scalability, and manufacturing risks.
• Monitor KPIs, troubleshoot production issues, and drive data-based process improvements.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives focused on cost, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Manage process changes, validation activities, equipment qualification, tooling, and production readiness.
• Perform root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop work instructions and train operations staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in semiconductor or highly regulated industries.
• Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, PFMEA, DOE, IQ/OQ/PQ validation, and process capability analysis.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume production environments and familiarity with cleanroom operations, contamination control, and regulatory standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SQL, JDE, and structured problem-solving techniques.
