AI Identity Security Engineer

Location: Offsite with home-based work, preferably near a Regions office; onsite attendance in Hoover or Birmingham, Alabama may be required for meetings and events. Applicants must be authorized to work full time in the United States.

Salary range: $133,059.85–$166,810.00 USD annually, with possible annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design scalable authorization models and identity patterns for AI agents, workloads, and other non-human identities across AWS and multi-cloud environments.
• Build automated guardrails for provisioning, privilege management, runtime access, lifecycle controls, auditability, and policy enforcement.
• Embed identity controls into agent frameworks, SDKs, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment platforms.
• Develop secure, automated CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure, services, and applications using immutable infrastructure practices.
• Integrate IAM and identity governance systems through REST APIs and modern authentication protocols.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Software Delivery, Quality Assurance, platform, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Current full-time authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• High school diploma or GED and eight years of related post-secondary education and/or experience in Information Security or Information Technology.
• Experience with DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and scalable cloud deployment platforms.
• Proficiency in Python and practical engineering experience with Java or PowerShell, REST APIs, and modern authentication protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and SCIM.
• Experience with AWS IAM, Azure/Entra ID, SailPoint, Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of identity governance automation, IAM, AI/ML systems, agentic architectures, and related security risks.

Nice to have

• AWS DevOps or Azure DevOps certification.
• Experience with OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes Service, HashiCorp Vault, blue/green and canary deployments.
• Experience applying chaos engineering and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
