Accounts Payable Specialist I

Location: United States work authorization required under ITAR regulations; company headquarters are in north Austin, Texas.

What you will do

• Track invoice obligations, obtain approvals, and process accurate, timely payments.
• Reconcile invoices and monthly statements and assign payments to the appropriate cost centers.
• Maintain accounts payable processes and monitor operational costs.
• Process sales and use tax payments and support related reporting requirements.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with external vendors and monitor vendor agreements for discount opportunities.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance colleagues and assist with audits and financial reporting.

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience in a corporate environment.
• Knowledge of payables, budgeting, accounting best practices, and tax obligations.
• Experience with financial transaction reporting.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office and accounts payable software.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, project management, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR.
