Test Operations Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the manufacturing and test facility in Briggs, Texas, north of Austin; approximately 15% travel required to support launch operations.

What you will do

• Execute and oversee hydraulic, pneumatic, proof, leak, and electrical testing of flight and ground support hardware.
• Work with engineers to develop, document, and refine test procedures for varied conditions and configurations.
• Design, fabricate, and assemble test fixtures, stands, and specialized test equipment.
• Perform precision assembly of complex flight systems using technical documentation, CAD models, and work orders.
• Support launch-pad operations by preparing, testing, inspecting, and validating flight hardware and support systems.
• Troubleshoot issues with cross-functional teams and improve safety, operational efficiency, and test processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• At least 3 years of experience in an aerospace, manufacturing, military, or automotive environment.
• High attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced test environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods in a test-stand environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Must be eligible under U.S. ITAR regulations as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or person eligible to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in engineering, technical, or mechanical studies, or an A&P license.
• Experience with airframe structural repair, aviation electronics, avionics, hydraulics, ground support equipment, or hazardous operations.
• Experience optimizing test processes and working with Confluence, JIRA, cranes, lifts, overhead rigging, and specialized fittings.
• Ability to read operating-system schematics and technical drawings.
