Senior Manager Technical Accounting (Gaming)

Location: Playa Vista, United States

Salary: $107,350–$198,630 annual base pay, with potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead technical accounting research and documentation for complex, unusual, and non-recurring transactions, with a focus on revenue recognition.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, and business units to evaluate new products, contracts, initiatives, and upcoming launches for accounting implications.
• Assess new accounting pronouncements and support the adoption of updated accounting standards and policies.
• Provide guidance and training to accounting, finance, and business teams on accounting standards.
• Support quarterly and annual close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Participate in system implementations, process improvements, and M&A due diligence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 8–10 years of progressive technical accounting experience across public accounting and industry roles.
• CPA required.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, especially revenue recognition, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience managing and analyzing large data sets.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with reporting tools such as Looker and Hyperion.
• Revenue recognition experience in the gaming industry.
