Senior Staff DevOps Engineer (Data Discovery & AI Governance)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; office-first culture with three days per week in the office for most roles

Annual base pay: $165,000–$247,500 USD for candidates based in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington.

What you will do

• Lead infrastructure strategy for Kubernetes-based on-premises and cloud deployments across AKS, EKS, GKE, K3s, and microk8s.
• Build automated worker-node provisioning and marketplace publishing workflows for Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Drive container hardening and vulnerability remediation for distributed components including Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Temporal, and Vault.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, infrastructure-as-code, zero-downtime deployments, and automated rollbacks.
• Design observability, alerting, diagnostics, self-healing, and high-throughput scaling for thousands of tenant environments.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis while mentoring engineers and collaborating with security, product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.

Requirements

• Office presence in Atlanta, Georgia, with three days per week in the office expected for most roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Linux, Docker, networking, and multi-cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Proficiency in Go or Python, Bash/Shell scripting, CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with production operations, security scanning, container hardening, vulnerability remediation, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka or NATS, and enterprise customer escalations.

Nice to have

• Experience publishing B2B enterprise software through Azure, AWS, or GCP Marketplace.
• Experience with Chainguard or other hardened container distributions and software supply chain security.
• Experience with on-premises, air-gapped deployments, service meshes, Kubernetes operators, Temporal, MLOps, or AI-assisted operations.
