TL;DR
Technical Apparel/Gear Intern (Powersports): Developing technical apparel and gear for KLIM and 509 powersports customers with an accent on product development, materials, design, and cross-functional execution. Focus on taking defined product deliverables from planning through completion, participating in reviews and fittings, and presenting project outcomes.

Location: Rigby, Idaho, USA; onsite with daily commuting required. Relocation assistance is available, and distance requirements apply.

Teton Outfitters develops and distributes powersports apparel, helmets, goggles, and accessories through the KLIM and 509 brands.

What you will do

  • Support real product and business priorities that bring technical apparel and gear from concept to market.
  • Collaborate with product line management, design, development, materials, engineering, production, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Own a defined product or project deliverable from planning through completion.
  • Participate in line reviews, material selection, design reviews, fittings, and other product-development activities.
  • Complete a team-based intern challenge and work with a mentor outside the immediate team.
  • Present project contributions and key learnings at the end of the internship.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Product Development, Technical Design, Fashion Design, Textile Development, or a related field, with expected graduation between August 2027 and May 2029.
  • Must commit to a 12-week internship from May through August 2027, working 40 hours per week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and previous experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word.
  • Previous internship, co-op, or relevant project experience, plus strengths in analysis, creative problem solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.
  • Must be a U.S. person and must not require employment sponsorship now or in the future; willingness and ability to relocate and reliable transportation for daily commuting are required.
