Men's Technical Design Assistant

Location: 100% on-site at the hirify.global HQ in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 annually

What you will do

• Create detailed tech packs for factories and vendors covering design, construction, workmanship, and quality specifications.
• Execute styles from design handoff through production, including sample measurement, fit assessment, and approval of construction samples and production materials.
• Provide fit comments, pattern corrections, illustration sketches, and construction feedback to preserve design intent.
• Participate in weekly fit sessions and collaborate with designers, merchants, supervisors, peer teams, and vendors.
• Resolve fit and production issues, conduct risk assessments, and support improvements to technical design processes.
• Ensure grading, measurement standards, fit consistency, and high-end quality across men's product categories.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in technical design.
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Design or Fashion Design.
• Extensive patternmaking and draping skills with knowledge of garment construction.
• Proficiency in Gerber AccuMark and knowledge of Points of Measure (POM).
• Strong organizational, time-management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Google software, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and PLM.

Nice to have

• Contemporary or high-end brand experience.
• Menswear experience.
