Manager, Soft Accessories (Design & Development)

Location: New York, New York, USA; hybrid schedule with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday and possible additional office days. The role may require 3% domestic travel.

Salary: $129,605–$130,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Partner with Coach designers on seasonal development, product expectations, deliverables, trends, and color palettes.
• Coordinate seasonal prints, materials, fabrics, leather, trims, hardware, and other tie-back requirements with licensing and internal teams.
• Create and implement processes to ensure licensed products follow the correct approval standards.
• Manage development calendars, bulk projections, orders, sample status, prototype samples, and show samples.
• Coordinate technique swatches and material cuttings between internal product development, production teams, Coach, and license vendors.
• Handle late requests and cross-functional follow-up to keep products aligned with development and production timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Fashion/Apparel Design or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in the role offered or a related position.
• Experience examining sample garments on and off models and modifying designs to achieve desired effects.
• Experience discussing design ideas with sales, management executives, or clients and selecting materials and production techniques.
• Experience with computer-aided design software, including Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience developing or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products with artistic contributions.
