Production Order Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of production orders for steam turbine and generator components.
• Coordinate production schedules, monitor order progress, and resolve capacity constraints and delivery risks.
• Expedite critical parts, raw materials, and subassemblies with procurement and logistics teams.
• Analyze material availability, inventory, production requirements, and work-in-process levels.
• Resolve material discrepancies, delivery delays, and quality holds with supply chain, engineering, and production stakeholders.
• Drive improvements in production order management, capacity planning, and lead-time optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in production planning, materials expediting, order management, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience with production schedules, order lifecycles, capacity planning, materials coordination, and on-time delivery.
• Knowledge of MRP, inventory control, expediting, logistics coordination, and supply chain optimization.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP PP/MM, data analysis, KPI tracking, and Excel reporting.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting steam turbine and rotor assembly operations.
• Steam turbine manufacturing experience.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Additional experience may qualify candidates for a higher level.
