Commercial Fleet Service Technician (Electric Vehicles)

Location: Seattle, Washington; onsite at the facility five days per week. Travel to commercial events and market fleets may be required.

Salary: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Assemble, maintain, repair, tear down, and replace components on electric bicycles for commercial fleet readiness.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues at vehicle and subsystem level using diagnostic equipment, CAN bus diagnostics, and fault-code analysis.
• Prepare vehicles for commercial activities, including mechanical setup, software updates, ECU flashing, shakedown rides, and functional validation.
• Manage the fleet service facility, inventory, tools, equipment, service parts, and safe, organized work areas.
• Develop service and maintenance SOPs and document repairs, defects, troubleshooting, and vehicle status.
• Support commercial field teams as a technical point of contact, prepare shipments, receive and assemble vehicles, and provide event support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in bicycle, e-bike, EV, or automotive maintenance and service.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, electronic control units, flashing procedures, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to safely operate and ride the serviced vehicles and perform physical shop work, including lifting and repetitive tasks.
• Strong documentation, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, independent task-management, and clear technical communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Seattle five days per week and travel to support field events as needed.

Nice to have

• Technical or vocational training in automotive, electric vehicles, or a related field.
• CAN bus diagnostics and fault-code troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working with prototype hardware and software in a fast-paced test environment.
