Facilities Manager

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States of America; hybrid work with onsite presence 3 days per week. Requires flexibility to travel, including multi-day trips, adjust schedules across time zones, and participate in 24/7 on-call coverage as needed.

Salary: $98,187–$166,919 per year for full-time employment.

What you will do

• Support facility operations across hirify.global Northeast Mid-Atlantic locations in partnership with local management.
• Coordinate facility improvement, expansion, right-sizing, renovation, space planning, occupancy, and surrender projects.
• Oversee daily facility readiness, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, fire systems, health and safety, and meeting coordination.
• Plan and track preventive maintenance and urgent repairs to minimize business disruption.
• Manage service contracts, negotiate terms, monitor vendor performance, and oversee cleaning and canteen providers.
• Coordinate with landlords and property managers on facility issues, lease compliance, and improvements.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of related facilities management experience or transferable skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and fire suppression systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills for working with landlords, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to respond decisively to facility emergencies such as power outages and water leaks.
• Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in Reston, Virginia, travel as needed, and participate in 24/7 on-call coverage.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Fluency in Spanish.
