Testing Mechanical Engineer I (HVAC)

What you will do

• Perform, approve, and review R&D testing of HVAC products in multiple test setups and psychrometric chambers.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Lab Technicians, and Lab Operations to prepare test units, equipment, parts, and test plans.
• Support and direct Engineering Technicians during testing and rework activities.
• Verify chamber and equipment operation, calibration, testing standards, and data validity.
• Analyze test data against DOE, ASHRAE, ASME, ISO, and other applicable standards.
• Run small, short-term projects independently while managing multiple tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year ABET-accredited engineering program or an equivalent technical degree in applied sciences.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of HVAC industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
• EPA 608 license required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical problem-solving, decision-making, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in manufacturing conditions involving seasonal temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
