Distribution Supervisor, 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Miamisburg, Ohio, USA; primarily second shift with flexibility to support and supervise third-shift operations.

What you will do

• Lead approximately 17 direct reports across finished-goods shipping and raw-material supply teams.
• Supervise primarily second-shift operations while supporting third-shift activities as needed.
• Conduct safety audits, manage housekeeping and waste, oversee PPE and equipment use, and lead 5S initiatives.
• Coach employees, provide feedback and training, conduct performance reviews, and handle hiring, promotions, merit reviews, and disciplinary actions.
• Assign work, plan overtime, track KPIs, maintain quality and deadlines, and resolve operational roadblocks.
• Implement operational, inventory-control, and cost-efficiency improvements with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing Operations while managing the department budget.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; an associate or bachelor's degree in an applicable field is preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or distribution experience, including 2+ years in manufacturing supervision or management.
• 2+ years of warehouse operations experience, including shipping, warehouse management, and material-handling equipment operation and inspection.
• Demonstrated ability to coach employees, manage performance, delegate work, resolve conflicts, and deliver results on time.
• Experience designing and executing continuous-improvement projects.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Excel, Oracle, and Loftware.
