Sr. Specialist, IT Procurement (Software & Technology)

What you will do

• Lead strategic sourcing and category management for software, SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, hardware, telecommunications, and technology services.
• Negotiate software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, cloud consumption agreements, renewals, service levels, pricing, and other commercial terms.
• Manage strategic technology suppliers, conduct performance reviews, and resolve service, invoicing, licensing, and delivery issues.
• Partner with IT, Cybersecurity, Finance, Legal, Enterprise Architecture, and business stakeholders throughout the technology acquisition lifecycle.
• Analyze technology spend, optimize license utilization, reduce redundant costs, and support procurement automation and digital transformation.
• Mentor procurement specialists and junior sourcing professionals while providing quality oversight of sourcing and commercial activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, software licensing, or supplier management.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, engineering software, and technology services agreements.
• Strong understanding of software licensing models, subscription services, cloud consumption agreements, and technology procurement practices.
• Experience managing strategic supplier relationships, complex commercial negotiations, cross-functional teams, and enterprise technology initiatives.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of technology sourcing and procurement experience in large global or multi-business-unit organizations.
• Experience with software asset management, FinOps, IT vendor management, procurement, ERP, sourcing, or workflow platforms.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPSD, CPM, CSCP, ITAM, SAM, or FinOps Certified Practitioner.
• Experience negotiating with major technology providers including Microsoft, Oracle, AWS, Google Cloud, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, and engineering software vendors.
