Senior Platform Engineer (Storage)

What you will do

• Perform system bring-up and validation, including BIOS configuration, firmware updates, and operating-system checks.
• Configure and verify BIOS, BMC, and OS settings for performance, reliability, and consistency.
• Execute and validate firmware updates for NVMe drives, NICs, and system components.
• Troubleshoot device initialization, visibility, firmware mismatches, upgrade failures, and configuration issues.
• Define and test procedures for drive swaps, rebuilds, data integrity checks, system health validation, and minimizing impact on running systems.
• Monitor storage-device health, collect Linux diagnostics, support debugging, escalate complex cross-layer issues, and document operational procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems, infrastructure, or platform-focused engineering.
• Hands-on experience with hardware and firmware, including BIOS, BMC, and device-level tools.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of storage and networking fundamentals, including NVMe, NICs, and basic I/O concepts.
• Experience supporting firmware updates and understanding associated risks and failure scenarios.
• Good scripting skills, strong attention to detail, and an investigative approach to system behavior.

• Familiarity with Go.
• Interest in developing deeper system, performance, and debugging expertise.
