Senior Audio Visual Engineer (Microsoft Teams Rooms)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; primarily on-site

Salary: $82.9K–$113.9K USD per year for the Bay Area California market. Incentive opportunities may also be available.

What you will do

• Manage and support the Microsoft Teams Rooms environment, including provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, and room technology standards.
• Design, install, configure, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot professional AV systems across conference rooms, collaboration spaces, auditoriums, and event environments.
• Provide broadcast engineering and live production support for All Hands meetings, town halls, executive presentations, corporate meetings, and live streams.
• Operate and maintain cameras, video switchers, audio mixers, DSPs, encoders, recording systems, displays, projectors, microphones, and presentation systems.
• Own the technical readiness of auditoriums and large event spaces, including inspections, preventive maintenance, testing, documentation, and live-event response.
• Coordinate with Corporate Communications, event organizers, executives, Facilities, vendors, AV integrators, and external production teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in audiovisual technology, broadcast technology, electronics, engineering, computer science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in AV engineering, audiovisual systems, unified communications, broadcast, or live event production.
• Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Teams Rooms and troubleshooting Teams, Windows, networking, peripherals, audio, video, room controls, and device connectivity.
• Strong understanding of audio/video distribution, signal flow, networking, control systems, and complex AV troubleshooting.
• Experience with AV control systems such as Crestron, Logitech, or similar platforms, plus professional audio, video, conferencing, and presentation systems.
• Ability to support auditoriums, large meeting spaces, corporate events, and live broadcasts under time-sensitive and high-pressure conditions.

Nice to have

• Broadcast production, live streaming, video switching, audio mixing, DSP, camera, wireless microphone, encoding, decoding, or recording experience.
• Crestron programming or configuration and experience with digital signage or room scheduling systems.
• Experience supporting executive briefing centers, auditoriums, large corporate venues, AV integrators, manufacturers, or external production vendors.
• AV certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, or equivalent.
• Experience developing AV standards, engineering documentation, system diagrams, and technical specifications.
