IT Site Lead (Manufacturing)

Location: Cherokee, Alabama, United States; on-site. Relocation support may be provided in certain situations based on business need. The role requires eligibility under U.S. ITAR export regulations.

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Own on-site IT support for facility employees and production staff, including ticket management, endpoint lifecycle, and day-to-day issue resolution.
• Maintain local networks and infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, Wi-Fi, switches, and wireless access points.
• Support the IT buildout of the new manufacturing facility by coordinating with facilities, construction teams, and infrastructure vendors.
• Receive, stage, deploy, and maintain endpoint hardware, peripherals, audiovisual, and conferencing equipment.
• Own employee onboarding and offboarding, including hardware, account provisioning, access grants, and Day 1 readiness.
• Manage local vendors, asset inventory, shipping and receiving, security tooling, incidents, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities.

Requirements

• Strong independence, accountability, ownership, and proactive issue resolution.
• Experience with endpoint management tools such as Intune, Mosyle, or FleetDM.
• Familiarity with Okta for identity and access management.
• Experience owning employee IT onboarding end to end and working as part of a distributed IT organization.
• Manufacturing or industrial environment experience is strongly preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMMC, ITAR, and controlled unclassified information handling.
• Experience hiring, training, and leading a local IT team.
