Staff Portfolio Manager (Cybersecurity Operations)

Annual salary: $110,000–$230,000

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and evolve the cybersecurity portfolio management framework.
• Align portfolio investments with strategic business and security objectives.
• Define KPIs, monitor portfolio health and value delivery, and create executive dashboards and reports.
• Identify and mitigate cross-portfolio risks and dependencies, escalating critical issues when necessary.
• Oversee budgets, financial performance, and ROI analysis for cybersecurity initiatives.
• Improve governance, processes, standards, and stakeholder communication across cybersecurity programs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience in insurance, finance, or another highly regulated industry.
• 7+ years of technology portfolio, program, and project management experience.
• 7+ years of experience with agile development and strategic planning.
• 5+ years of stakeholder or partner management experience.
• Experience with portfolio prioritization, resource allocation, risk management, performance tracking, budget management, and ROI analysis.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO, NYDFS, PCI, FFIEC, NAIC, and other relevant standards and regulations; a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Nice to have

• SAFe Program Consultant, PMI-PMP, AI Product Manager, Responsible AI, CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, or related certifications.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, GenAI, and AI agents in enterprise use cases.
