Sustainable Research Intern (ESG)

Location: Onsite in the New York City office, United States. The 10-week program runs from June 2 to August 6, with a schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm CST. Employees are required to work in the office according to a scheduled frequency.

Salary: $25/hour for New York-based candidates. The position may also provide a cash incentive.

What you will do

• Learn how material environmental, social, and governance factors are integrated into investment processes.
• Conduct company-level research to identify and assess material sustainability risks and opportunities.
• Support stewardship campaigns on topics such as water scarcity and human capital management.
• Analyze corporate governance matters at company and industry levels.
• Gather data and develop reports using Tableau or other data visualization tools.
• Research sustainability themes and support proxy voting, stewardship projects, and engagements with investee companies.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student.
• Strong analytical, research, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with PowerPoint and Excel on a daily basis.
• Some exposure to Tableau or other technical and data visualization platforms.
• Interest in finance, investment management, balanced investing, stewardship, and sustainability.
• Ability to work onsite in the New York City office according to the scheduled program hours.

Nice to have

• Rising Junior or Senior undergraduate student.
