Investment Associate (Impact Investing)

Location: USA - Remote; occasional travel to partners, conferences, and WES offices in New York City and Toronto may be required.

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Originate investment opportunities and build pipeline channels across catalytic and thematic investment portfolios.
• Conduct financial, strategic, and impact due diligence and prepare screening and investment memoranda.
• Build financial models, benchmarks, dashboards, forecasts, portfolio analyses, and risk assessments.
• Improve investment processes, diligence frameworks, portfolio monitoring, valuation processes, and reporting systems.
• Manage project management and CRM systems supporting portfolio milestones and goals.
• Develop knowledge-sharing practices and collaborate with WES departments, investee partners, leadership, and the Board.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of related experience, or 1 year of work experience, in impact investing or an adjacent investment field.
• Strong analytical, data management, project management, and communication skills.
• Experience interpreting financial statements, conducting portfolio analysis, building models, and preparing clear visual summaries.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce or another CRM, Tableau, and Google Apps.
• Commitment to mission-driven, trust-based investing and justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Nice to have

• MBA or master’s degree in a related field.
• Lived experience connected to immigrant, refugee, or communities of color.
• Availability to travel to partner meetings, conferences, and WES offices in New York City and Toronto.
