Investment Planning Intern (Energy)

What you will do

• Support electric infrastructure projects involving future-state distribution and transmission power systems.
• Gather, store, and use electrical asset data; create and maintain models with PSSE and CYME.
• Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, schedules, financial models, and project business cases.
• Validate annual budget data and manage assigned transmission and distribution investment programs.
• Support asset governance, management-of-change processes, root cause analyses, and asset life cycle plans.
• Conduct field research at substations and engineering sites while collaborating with engineering, finance, operations, regulatory, and technical teams.

Requirements

• Academic knowledge applicable to electric infrastructure, engineering, finance, or the energy transition.
• Ability to develop technical and analytical solutions for complex power-system and asset-management problems.
• Ability to collaborate with professionals across engineering, operations, finance, regulatory, and business functions.
• Ability to attend site visits at substations and other engineering locations in Dayton, Ohio.
• Interest in using industry software and financial modeling tools to support investment planning.
