Analytics Engineer, Unity (Healthcare)

Location: Remote

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year; compensation depends on geographic location, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable dbt-based data models supporting pharmacy benefit management and care navigation.
• Transform complex pharmacy benefits and healthcare workflows into transparent, maintainable, and auditable data products.
• Partner with analytics, data engineering, clinical, product, client success, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Implement automated data quality checks, testing frameworks, reconciliation processes, documentation, lineage, and observability.
• Optimize data models and cloud warehouse performance for large-scale datasets and self-service business intelligence.
• Build data foundations for AI-assisted insight generation and future agentic analytics engineering use cases.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, data warehousing, or a related field.
• Strong experience with dbt and advanced SQL; experience developing transformations and workflows with Python.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling, medallion architecture, semantic modeling, and scalable data architecture.
• Experience with production-grade data models, data quality testing, documentation, and cloud warehouses such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Experience orchestrating and monitoring pipelines with tools such as Apache Airflow or Dagster, preferably in AWS environments.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, pull requests, testing, deployment workflows, and AI-assisted engineering practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Claude, Claude skills, Model Context Protocol, or similar AI-enabled development and analytics tooling.
