Staff Software Engineer (IoT)

Location: Needham, Massachusetts; work from the office 4 days a week

Base salary: $141,500–$187,720 per year

What you will do

• Lead development of full-stack software across smart home, HVAC, video analytics, IoT, and large-scale data processing products.
• Own projects across the full lifecycle, from requirements development and design through deployment.
• Research, evaluate, and apply technologies and methodologies to solve challenging engineering problems.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across teams and business units.
• Design solutions that account for multiple use cases, evolving requirements, and rapid development cycles.
• Develop software that interacts with physical devices and hardware.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience leading or mentoring other engineers.
• Expert object-oriented programming skills; C# and .NET experience is advantageous.
• Significant database design and development experience, plus knowledge of networking concepts and technologies.

• Experience with hardware and device development.
