Contractor, Payroll Services (Fintech)

Location: Remote

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annual base salary; eligible for a company bonus pool and new-hire equity.

What you will do

• Maintain accurate employee records in the Rippling HRIS.
• Manage the People Operations inbox and respond to onboarding, employment verification, benefits, and leave questions.
• Support semi-monthly hourly and contractor payroll administration.
• Assist with state and federal filings, audits, RFPs, job descriptions, and compensation compliance.
• Maintain benefit compliance documents and distribute required legal notifications.
• Manage Sparrow leave records and process leave requests under company policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a People Team or service-related role.
• Proficiency with Google Drive tools, including Sheets, Gmail, Docs, and Slides.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, and follow-through.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and communicate effectively across functions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup or SaaS environment.
• Experience with Rippling, Sparrow, or another leave management platform.
• Experience supporting a hybrid team.
