Phlebotomist Test Coordinator - Austin, TX

What you will do

• Perform venipunctures and collect blood specimens using aseptic techniques and safe clinical practices.
• Verify patient identities, test requisitions, and electronic medical record information.
• Prepare, track, and document specimens while maintaining collection logs and specimen integrity.
• Schedule appointments, coordinate blood draws, and support patients throughout the testing process.
• Coordinate with Field Sales and internal operations teams to resolve missing information, delays, cancellations, and redraws.
• Maintain turnaround-time expectations and investigate escalated issues with clear root-cause explanations.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of phlebotomy experience, including required oncology experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA degree preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification as required by state regulations.
• Knowledge of CAP/CLIA standards, healthcare regulations, infection prevention, and clinical safety procedures.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and independent-work skills.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
