What you will do

• Coordinate daily news gathering, newsroom assignments, and coverage across television, digital, social media, and streaming platforms.
• Report breaking news quickly and accurately and independently produce television newscasts after training.
• Program News4Utah+ and develop original video, podcast, and streaming content from concept through completion.
• Write news articles, breaking news updates, and digital content; book guests and schedule interviews with local sources and public information officers.
• Produce and manage original video series, content calendars, production timelines, distribution strategies, and social media campaigns.
• Host streaming shows when needed and ensure content meets editorial, journalistic, and production standards.

Requirements

• Strong news judgment, accuracy, creativity, and the ability to work under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
• Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of social media strategy, SEO, audience analytics, AP Style, and Microsoft Office.
• Comfort conducting interviews and appearing on camera when needed.
• Excellent communication, organization, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
• Availability for varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience with HTML, CSS, or Photoshop.
• Awareness of entertainment, internet culture, streaming trends, and emerging technology.
