What you will do

• Monitor news wires, social media, scanners, broadcasts, and online sources for breaking-news opportunities.
• Generate, research, verify, and develop stories for newscasts, digital platforms, and special coverage.
• Coordinate reporters, photographers, multimedia journalists, and field crews, including interviews, logistics, assignments, and timelines.
• Secure high-profile guests, newsmakers, public figures, and subject-matter experts.
• Manage live remotes, video feeds, live shots, incoming footage, and interview logistics under tight deadlines.
• Update iNews assignments and support writers, producers, editors, and digital teams with information and story developments.

Requirements

• Degree in Communications, Journalism, New Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, written and verbal.
• At least 2 years of newsroom experience; producer or assignment editor experience is preferred.
• Editorial judgment, current-affairs knowledge, multitasking ability, and experience working under tight deadlines.
• Experience with social media platforms, basic video editing, non-linear editing, archive systems, and multiple video feeds.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Miami and currently authorized to work full-time in the United States. Employment and education verification and a background investigation are required.
