Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Onsite at 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, California, United States

Salary: $221,374–$286,000 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives.

What you will do

• Deliver platform capabilities across infrastructure, tooling, CI/CD, SDKs, ML frameworks, model runtimes, and feature stores.
• Build scalable, resilient cloud-native systems using microservices, containers, and automation.
• Develop AI-driven applications, intelligent automation features, AI agent integrations, and ML components.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, observability, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Lead system design reviews, API design, prototyping, and technical requirement refinement with product and business stakeholders.
• Improve developer productivity and engineering quality through tooling, metrics, documentation, and correction-of-error reviews.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience; or bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience building scalable and secure web applications with React and JavaScript libraries.
• Experience with TypeScript, REST APIs, external service integrations, HTML, CSS, and accessible web development.
• Experience with end-to-end and integration testing using TestCafe, and unit testing with Jest or Mocha.
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines and working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or Oracle DB.
• Experience with Agile practices, Scrum, Jira, headless CMS solutions, authentication, logging, and error handling.
