Manager, Network Management - Provider Performance - Houston, TX

Location: Field-based in Houston, Texas; onsite at provider offices approximately 3 days per week and remote from home 2 days per week.

Base pay: $92,700–$167,500 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Manage daily activities and strategies to improve provider HEDIS, STARS, risk adjustment, and financial performance.
• Lead provider recruitment, contracting, and negotiations for physicians, physician groups, facilities, and complex health systems.
• Develop and manage value-based arrangements while ensuring strategic coverage across the assigned territory.
• Build provider relationships, deliver provider education and service, and support performance improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and train Provider Performance Network Operations Consultants.
• Use data analysis to identify improvement opportunities, create action plans, measure outcomes, and adjust strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of provider contracting experience, or 9 years of managed care experience including 5 years of provider contracting experience.
• Extensive knowledge of provider and facility contracting, healthcare products, and claims processing systems.
• Leadership, negotiation, relationship-building, analytical, and project management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned area, including overnight stays.
• Sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Previous HEDIS and/or CMS STARS experience.
• Understanding of health insurance, customer messaging and design, and project management.
• Expert Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Financial or trend analysis experience and experience working in a matrix environment.
