Senior Data Engineer - Data Platform

Location: New York, New York, United States. Hybrid schedule with telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week; office attendance is required at 175 Greenwich Street, Floor 59, New York, NY 10007, on other days.

Salary: $225,000–$250,000 gross annual base pay, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive architectural decisions and standards for scalable data infrastructure, pipeline frameworks, and data management.
• Build and deploy cross-functional data models and large-scale batch and streaming processing workflows.
• Design, build, and maintain ingestion pipelines for financial and transactional data from payment processors, banking partners, and external APIs.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, security, governance, monitoring, and alerting across data systems.
• Analyze large datasets, troubleshoot anomalies, and generate actionable insights.
• Manage technical initiatives, collaborate with non-technical stakeholders, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of professional experience integrating, processing, and reconciling transactional data as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or in a related role.
• 6 years of experience developing scalable data pipelines with quality assurance, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
• 5 years of advanced SQL experience across OLAP and OLTP databases, including complex queries and data models.
• 4 years of experience with Python, modern data stack technologies, cloud data platforms including Snowflake, orchestration tools including Airflow, and transformation frameworks including dbt.
• Experience operating large-scale batch and streaming systems, plus at least 1 year working with ERP systems including NetSuite and Oracle ERP.
