Manager, Engineering, Enterprise Data Platform

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; expected to work in the office 5 days a week.

Annual base salary: $225,000–$260,000; target annual bonus: 15%.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, retain, and develop a team of data engineers.
• Define the data engineering roadmap and align platform priorities with enterprise strategy and business objectives.
• Guide architecture decisions for scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise data platforms.
• Oversee data pipelines, ELT/ETL workflows, large-scale data models, and enterprise data assets.
• Lead AI learning initiatives and integrate AI/ML-driven solutions into data products.
• Partner with technology, product, sales, marketing, research, finance, and administration teams to improve data capabilities, performance, governance, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
• 2+ years of experience managing technical teams.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills, with experience in cloud data platforms, data orchestration, distributed messaging, and enterprise data architectures.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, quality, lineage, compliance, communication, and stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, Airflow, Kafka, Docker, CRM, ERP, marketing automation, or financial systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms, model deployment, or data-driven automation.
• Experience building high-performing teams and leading through organizational change.
