Universal Banker

Location: Hamden, Connecticut, United States of America; onsite branch role with face-to-face customer interaction.

Salary: $20.55–$34.25 per hour.

What you will do

• Serve Consumer and Business Banking customers as a teller and universal branch banker.
• Educate customers about banking products, recommend solutions, and support digital banking adoption.
• Conduct customer appointments and walk-in consultations, identify needs, and refer complex requests to appropriate partners.
• Process transactions, open accounts, support loan origination, review overdrafts, and resolve customer complaints.
• Support branch operations, lobby management, customer outreach, documentation, and relationship retention.
• Follow AML, BSA, KYC, fraud escalation, internal control, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales experience.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle difficult customer conversations.
• Ability to serve consumer and small-business customers in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong organization, time management, prioritization, and internet user-level technology skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods, read fine print, use hands and fingers for extended periods, and lift 5–30 pounds.
• Ability to work in an open, face-to-face branch environment in Hamden, Connecticut.
