Location: hirify.global Okanagan Campus, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: $5,519.00–$6,326.00 CAD monthly; this part-time 0.8 FTE position pays 80% of the posted range.

What you will do

  • Administer payroll services for the Okanagan campus and manage priorities, schedules, deadlines, and payroll-related journal entries.
  • Provide front-line support for payroll and benefits inquiries, ServiceNow tickets, Workday Notifications, and technical issues.
  • Investigate complex payroll incidents, resolve problems with HR and finance stakeholders, and escalate highly complex cases to the Payroll Lead.
  • Analyze payroll processes and data, recommend efficiency improvements, and contribute to process documentation and Workday standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential report distribution lists and support year-end tax form data requirements, including T4A forms.
  • Communicate critical dates and system events, support payroll training sessions, and provide information about payroll and benefits to campus staff.

Requirements

  • High school graduation plus a two-year post-secondary diploma in accounting, finance, or business and over four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification required.
  • Understanding of accounting, finance, and business functions, with the ability to work with Workday systems and complex process documentation.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to prioritize under strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to a changing environment, and support equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required due to payroll deadlines and process restrictions.

Nice to have

  • Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) certification.
