TL;DR
Senior Systems and Test Integration Engineer (FPGA/Space Systems): Designing, deploying, and integrating payload emulation suites and space flight hardware test systems with an accent on FPGA implementation, hardware verification, and cross-functional systems integration. Focus on developing high-speed FPGA interfaces, troubleshooting hardware, closing timing in Vivado, and leading complex integration and test activities for national security programs.

Location: On-site in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance are required.

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Design, deploy, and integrate payload emulation suites with DevOps and Special Test Equipment teams.
  • Integrate and test space flight hardware and verify unit behavior on hardware.
  • Lead FPGA implementation, troubleshooting, and integration activities to meet program milestones.
  • Define unit functionality and interface requirements with multidisciplinary engineering teams and program management.
  • Operate electrical test equipment, including signal generators, analyzers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.
  • Manage priorities, coordinate schedules, and communicate technical status across the team.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Linux, including RHEL or Ubuntu, Windows 11, and Microsoft tools.
  • Experience with FPGA development, hardware integration, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

  • Integration and test experience with high-reliability space payloads or vehicles.
  • 5+ years of FPGA development with Xilinx UltraScale or UltraScale+ devices.
  • VHDL or SystemVerilog RTL design experience from microarchitecture through hardware integration.
  • Experience with JESD204B, 10GbE, SerDes, SPI, JTAG, FMC/VITA 57, and Xilinx Vivado.
  • Experience with automated testing, Special Test Equipment, failure review boards, corrective action systems, and space program reviews.
