Software Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Duluth, Georgia, United States. US citizenship required.

Salary: $117,000–$185,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $145,000–$218,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and support ViaControl monitor and control software for satellite antenna systems.
• Design, develop, test, and document device drivers integrating ViaControl with satellite antenna systems.
• Configure and deploy ViaControl across different hardware platforms.
• Develop product features using agile or waterfall methodologies.
• Answer technical questions, resolve operational issues, and provide performance feedback to the product development team.
• Support software design, implementation, integration, and testing throughout program delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or current enrollment in such a program.
• At least 2 years of experience writing Python.
• Familiarity with TCP, SNMP, or REST communication protocols.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to work in a Linux-based environment.
• US citizenship and work in the Duluth, Georgia location are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with device driver development or hardware integration.
• Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools.
• Exposure to satellite communications, ground systems, or aerospace and defense domains.
• Familiarity with agile or waterfall development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and collaboration skills.
