Field Operations Specialist (Charlottesville Market)

Location: Charlottesville, VA, United States. On-site, part-time role covering one or more parking lots or garages; reliable transportation to assigned locations is required.

Salary: Up to $21 per hour.

What you will do

• Patrol assigned parking lots and garages on foot and check parked vehicles without moving cars.
• Cover multiple locations within the assigned area as needed.
• Use the Space Force smartphone app to scan license plates and verify active payments.
• Issue citations, leave physical notices, and potentially immobilize repeat violators where applicable.
• Guide customers through the payment process and provide on-site support.
• Depending on the location, perform light cleanup, coordinate maintenance vendors, assist with signage, and direct traffic during events.

Requirements

• Previous customer service, security, or parking operations experience is helpful but not required; training is provided.
• Ability to remain on your feet outdoors for several hours in a parking lot or garage environment.
• Own a modern smartphone with a reliable data plan for operating enforcement software.
• Strong time-management skills, reliability, independence, and professional customer communication.
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, background check, and motor vehicle record check required.
