Quality Control Technician - 2nd Shift

Location: Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA — on-site. 2nd shift: 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend work during the busy season from April through September.

Salary: $22.00–$26.00 per hour based on experience, plus a $2.00 second-shift differential.

What you will do

• Test finished goods, in-process samples, and incoming raw material tanker loads against quality specifications.
• Determine corrections for out-of-specification materials and direct production adjustments.
• Perform viscosity, density, gel-time, peel-strength, shear-strength, and other laboratory tests.
• Maintain quality logs, history files, sample retains, test procedures, work instructions, and non-conformance reports.
• Maintain and clean laboratory equipment, monitor calibration testing, and follow safe laboratory practices.
• Support production testing, customer complaint investigations, and R&D development testing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of laboratory experience or education in a chemistry laboratory.
• Basic math, computer skills, organizational abilities, and accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to walk, push, pull, stretch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with shift work.
