Technician, Pilot Plant IV (2nd Shift)

Location: North Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $18.60–$33.20 per hour

What you will do

• Set up, clean, maintain, and operate pilot-plant equipment under supervision.
• Follow department procedures and prepare equipment and materials for manufacturing processes.
• Monitor product and process quality and report issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete batch records, process documentation, and supporting data according to cGMP requirements.
• Identify safety issues during pre-runs, post-runs, and procedure reviews, and support corrective actions.
• Provide accurate material and equipment status reports during manufacturing handoffs and use the inventory system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic technical or mechanical background and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal operating instructions and equipment displays.
• Ability to document process deviations or mistakes clearly.
• Intermediate competency in basic algebra, decimals, fractions, proportions, and arithmetic.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and written and verbal directions in pharmaceutical or chemical operations.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a scientific field.
• Knowledge of tools, machines, instruments, and safety devices used in chemical or pharmaceutical operations.
