Piping Superintendent

Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; field-based work with travel and domestic rotational fly-in/fly-out projects

What you will do

• Lead piping and mechanical construction activities within an assigned project area.
• Promote zero-harm operations and ensure contractor work complies with HSE legislation, project procedures, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate contractors, supervisors, field engineering, quality assurance, commissioning, project controls, and client representatives.
• Monitor piping and mechanical installation quality, testing, inspections, hold points, and non-conformance corrective actions.
• Manage construction work packages, workface planning, progress reporting, labor and material submissions, costs, and schedules.
• Lead punch-list completion, systems completion, as-built documentation, testing, and handover to commissioning.

Requirements

• Technical degree or diploma in construction or engineering, or Red Seal certification as a pipefitter, steamfitter, or similar trade.
• 15+ years of construction supervision or management experience as a piping superintendent or in a similar role.
• Experience with mining, heavy industrial, or oil and gas construction projects; uranium process plant and brownfield experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of piping and mechanical installation and testing, supporting steel structures, quality and completion systems, safety regulations, codes, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with construction work packages, workface planning, scheduling, cost control, contractor management, reporting, and problem-solving.
• Ability to work in field conditions, travel domestically, and work on rotational fly-in/fly-out projects; a valid driver’s license is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in uranium process plants and brownfield construction.
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, and engineering drawings.
