Field Applications Specialist (Core Histology)

Location: Remote from the United States; field-based in the Northeast territory. Requires up to 75% domestic and occasional international travel, including possible overnight stays.

Salary: $90,000–$105,000 annual base salary, plus eligible bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Partner with Sales and Service teams to support revenue growth, customer retention, product adoption, and customer success.
• Lead instrument installations, evaluations, validations, workflow optimization, and customer onboarding.
• Provide applications support, technical troubleshooting, and customer training to improve laboratory performance.
• Investigate and resolve applications issues with Technical Service, Product Management, Global Business Units, and other cross-functional teams.
• Capture customer needs and field insights to support continuous improvement of products, workflows, and service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of histology, anatomic pathology, laboratory automation, or a related laboratory market.
• Experience troubleshooting technical applications issues, training customers, and optimizing laboratory workflows.
• Ability to travel by air and/or vehicle up to 75% and occasionally stay overnight.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move, or place up to 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing, walking, sitting, squatting, kneeling, stair climbing, and reaching.

Nice to have

• Experience with Core Histology laboratory operations, workflows, and instrumentation.
• Previous experience in Field Applications, Technical Support, Customer Training, or Laboratory Implementation.
• Experience with tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, coverslipping, laboratory automation, or diagnostic instrumentation.
