What you will do
- Support metals and minerals studies and projects focused on gas handling and mine ventilation.
- Evaluate process alternatives and equipment or technology selections.
- Analyze operational data, perform mass and energy balance calculations, and prepare process flow diagrams.
- Develop design calculations, technical documentation, and specifications for gas handling, ventilation, heating, and cooling equipment.
- Participate in equipment design reviews, plant layout development, technical bid analysis, cost estimates, and process hazard reviews.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and client teams, prepare reports and presentations, and travel to project sites for measurements.
Requirements
- Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Understanding of engineering and business fundamentals applied to engineering projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative approach, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to new challenges.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites, including remote sites globally; employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT are not provided.
