What you will do

  • Design, specify, select, and apply ASME pressure vessel equipment, including towers, reactors, drums, and heat exchangers.
  • Prepare technical requisitions and perform technical bid evaluations for pressure vessel equipment.
  • Review vendor drawings and coordinate technical information with vendors and engineering specialists.
  • Manage the technical scope for new pressure vessel equipment on onshore and offshore projects.
  • Support project engineers and clients in resolving technical concerns, including field commissioning and startup when required.
  • Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers while maintaining engineering standards through design and manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience specifically in pressure vessel design.
  • Working knowledge of current ASME and API codes and standards.
  • Experience with pressure vessel design software such as PVElite and detailed pressure vessel design.
  • Experience leading pressure vessel engineering for small- and large-scale projects and collaborating with piping, process, and civil disciplines.
  • Professional Engineer certification or willingness to obtain it; proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

  • Experience with chemical, petrochemical, refining, oil and gas, LNG liquefaction, ammonia, ethylene, refining, or offshore projects.
  • Experience with installation and commissioning.
  • Working knowledge of Documentum.
