Senior Systems Analyst (Investment Management)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid schedule with office work 4 days per week and flexibility to work remotely 1 day per week.

What you will do

• Partner with Portfolio Managers, Industry Analysts, and Research Analysts as a trusted advisor on proprietary research and portfolio analysis platforms.
• Investigate functional and technical questions by applying knowledge of business processes, applications, and investment data.
• Manage production incidents, coordinate escalation, identify root causes, and prioritize application fixes based on risk and return on investment.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and develop information delivery solutions.
• Test new system functionality, provide end-user training, and establish support processes for system changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve methods and approaches supporting investment processes.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in an application support environment within financial services.
• Knowledge of investment data concepts covering holdings, transactions, security master data, analytics, and performance.
• Understanding of financial instruments including equities, bonds, swaps, options, futures, forwards, and FX.
• Hands-on SQL experience for extracting and analyzing data to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and delivery skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, business-critical global environment.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot.
• CFA Institute Claritas Certificate, CFA Charter, or progress toward one.
